Bamboo: How Panda Food Can Become Ford's Next Renewable Material


In recent years, Ford has been dedicated to replacing petroleum-based synthetic materials with natural materials. Mustard seed oil and castor oil are used to lubricate parts and create gaskets. Wheat straw and rice hulls are used to reinforce plastics. Trunk mats are made with coconut husks. Seat foam in all North American models is now made out of soy.
